Tres metros sobre el cielo

Title: Tres metros sobre el cielo
Genre: Drama, Romance
Year: 2010
Time: 118 min
Director: Fernando Gonzalez Molina

Story of two young people who belong to different worlds. It is the chronicle of a love improbable, almost impossible but inevitable dragging in a frantic journey they discover the first great love. Babi (Maria Valverde) is a girl from upper-middle class that is educated in goodness and innocence . Hache (Mario Casas) is a rebellious boy, impulsive, unconscious, has a appetite for risk and danger embodied in endless fights and illegal motorbike races, the limit of common sense.

Aneta's review:
I would never watch this movie but my boyfriend propose this title. Spanish movie, Spanish language, so pretty for my ears. I can’t explain my feelings but this movie has something unique what I very like. Story about Hache, Babi, Katina, Pollo and about their friends and family. Hache & Babi and Pollo & Katina – guys come from other world, girls also but they are couple and they are really good friends. So money aren’t important. First love, first parties, first quarrel, first truancy, first forbidden things. True life teenagers. In the movie we see Hache who can’t control his anger. Everything this because his mom had lover. He is very dangerous and use his power almost all the time. He has also problem with law. Babi is “parents’s daughter” always polite, has good marks etc. But when she starts meet with Hache she is changing. On better? I think she is still decent girl but can say her own opinion. She has very strict mom and awesome dad. In the end of movie everything change. Pollo is dies in motorcycle racing. Babi
blamed Hache for the death of Pollo. Hache go to the London, Babi stay in Spain but stop talk with Katina. I love this story. It’s not always colorful in life – this movie shows this. Perfecta musica, lenguaje perfecto, me gusta esta pelicula! ¿Tal vez debería aprender español de nuevo?

"Three meters above sky", this movie is something really special for me because it is the first movie I saw with my Girlfriend hence will always be a beautiful memory.

Now about the movie, it is about some crazy love story between a guy Hache who is a bike racer, jobless etc and a girl Babi who is very decent and well educated. The story revolves around how he makes her do some really wild things and she starts to fall in love with him but he always have some anger issues and a lot of bad luck which always end up against him. The sad part of the movie is that no matter how much they love each other their differences grow them apart plus also with help of a "bitch"(Pardon my English) mom of girl who does not want her daughter to be with this guy everything gets messy. She ends up being with some other guy that her mom wanted her to be with and Hugo leaves to live and start a new life in London. I think for me the story is nice I really liked this movie.. it shows u values of true friendship , love and how sometimes it's just good to loosen up a bit and let it go. I have seen this movie twice now and still would see it again because I think it is a lovely movie.

The Da Vinci Code

Title: The Da Vinci Code
Author: Dan Brown
Genre: Mystery, Detective fiction, Conspiracy fiction, Thriller
Year: 2003

Aneta’s review:
Very famous book. Rather everyone heard about The Da Vinci Code. I read this book times. I know it was mistake but first I watched movie, later read book. Ehh really my mistake. So during read book all the time in my mind wasn’t my fictive Robert Langdon just Tom Hanks… When I read book first time was enchanted, a lot of riddles but second hmm I was little bored because paid more attention on other things. So much historical descriptions and so annoying Sophie “When I was small my grandfather blablabla” or “Princess Sophie” I don’t know what many times it was repeating but a lot… Whole story very smart and interesting even if this is just fake story. Have Jesus in the family ulala nice :D

Afzaal's review:
So the Code, hmm where to begin.. It is certainly one of those books that enhanced my vocabulary to a totally new level. The book is about the "Holy Grail" and the quest of it, the story starts with the murder of 4 people that are suppose to protect the secret location of the Holy Grail and they are part of a secret society. Apparently they not have so good relation with the church because they can unveil the secret that Jesus has a blood line and had a wife and kids etc. So hmm the story evolves between another person who is trying to get the holy grail and he was responsible for murder of all these 4 protectors of Grail but the last Protector who died was the main person and his Grand Daughter who happened to cryptologist (Sophie Neveu) and the  symbologist Robert Langdon become the main murder suspects but because Sophie Grandfather left her many Clues and also mentioned to find Robert they run away from Police investigation and on hunt to find the Holy Grail. In the same moment the Police and the other person who is looking for the Holy Grail is after them also. It is in end cat and mouse game to find the Holy Grail. It has some surprising ending and it is a great book to read with a lot of interesting facts that would keep you in it all the time. I have to agree that there were some places where I kind of just skimmed through paragraphs because they just started giving soooo much detail and it became boring but overall I would say it was a good read. Reading any book after this books seems like going back to ABCD.. after reading a novel.... So it will make you check Dictionary quiet few times and if you are not Christian or Roman Catholic there are rather few things you won't understand but lucky for me my beautiful Girlfriend was always there to provide me with some extra knowledge :)

At First Sight

Title: At First Sight
Author: Nicholas Sparks
Genre: Romance, Tragedy
Year: 2005

Aneta’s review:

I start read this book by chance. Just I was in the library and it was just one book by Nikolas Sparks. It was very good choice. Seriously at the beginning story was little boring. Some boring village in which nothing happen and some couple who not special know each other. She is already pregnant and they plan to get marriage. Here the child
strengthen their relationship. So they plan get marriage. Everything is very difficult in the small village because “What people would say…”. Child without marriage so Lexie can’t tell anyone about child. So like I wrote earlier in the beginning story is boring and was little disappointed. Sometimes I didn’t know who irritate me more Lexie or Jeremy but suddenly something changed. I started reading it in one breath. Their child could die. I wanted to know faster what will happen with child. Ending was startling ! I couldn’t believe that Lexie died.  Shocking, touching story. Good job Sparks. Wow…
I think that I will come back to this story in the future.

Afzaal’s review:
Well where to start, I got back in to novel reading because my beautiful girlfriend inspired me :) I started reading novels again and this was the first one I read in years, of course knowing that my girlfriend read it before I knew it would be a great read. So yes, beautiful story... Lexie and Jeremy a beautiful couple that love each other so much, Jeremy left his whole life behind and decided to move to a small town in California just because he loved Lexie so much and she was pregnant. The story is about them planning their wedding and how Jeremy is trying to adjust to his new life. The book itself was little boring in beginning, but you get little twists and turns that keep you reading it. You see a lot of different emotions in this book when two people are in love, the sacrifice they make, the jealousy that comes in between, the cute things in relationship, the reality of knowing that you are not alone you are sharing your life with someone now and this person is part of you and your decision making also. All these things makes this book a worth read, of course not to mention.. At the end of this book I could not stop reading it.. I would say the last 200 pages or soo.. It was like a movie in cinema where you are at the edge of your seat.. I was literally at the edge of my bed.. just could not take my eyes of it! But of course it had a very sad ending.. Lexie dying while giving birth was just heartbroken.. It shook me to pieces.. and made me realize how it felt losing someone you love.. I won't be ashamed to admit but it brought tears to my eyes.. A great read, and amazing work my Nicholas sparks.

Crazy Stupid Love

Title: Crazy, Stupid, Love
Genre: Drama, Comedy, Romance
Year: 2011
Time: 118 min
Director:
Glenn Ficarra, John Requa

A middle-aged husband's life changes dramatically when his wife asks him for a divorce. He seeks to rediscover his manhood with the help of a newfound friend, Jacob, learning to pick up girls at bars.

Aneta’s review:
Very good idea to record this movie BUT I was disappointed. I heard about this movie a lot. Was few very funny moments but it’s so small like on a comedy. The end was in “American style”. Public speech, public psychotherapy and public declaration of love. Blablabla this was a lot of times earlier. The moral of the movie is the casanova can change because some red woman and some 13 years old boy get from his 17 years old nanny her naked photos…Better
not inspired by the film BUT Ryan Gosling THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU so much for this that you change my boyfriend hairstyle. So my mark is 6 would be much less than 6 but Ryan’s chest  from photoshop.

Afzaal’s review:
Well, this movie is a great first time watch. It actually was really funny to start with but about half way down the movie it gets a bit boring. The story is pretty much about a guy(Steve Carell) who gets a divorce and ends up sitting in a bar drinking every day where he finds Ryan Gosling who is a lady killer. Ryan Gosling notices him sitting there every day and decides to change his life and that is when the fun begins. It also consists of a lot of funny mix ups and very shocking ending! There is a bit where alot of ladies including my gf :P went little <3333 on Ryan Gosling when he took his tshirt off but hmm apart from that I did took alot of inspiration my self from his character in the movie and I guess some guys out there will take also. So if I have to rate it I would give it 7 out of 10.
